Weltstein

Hanoverian stallion WELTSTEIN is a son of the outstanding sire Weltmeyer, the winner of German Championship of 3-year old stallions, a stallions’ test of courage, a breeding exhibition. He was also awarded the title of Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 1998. Stallion Weltmeyer is owned by SO Celle, where he has stud duties along with his sons Wakiki, Weltrum, Wesley, White Star, Wolkenstein II, Wolkentanzt and Wordly.

Weltstein’s dam, mare Granella is a daughter of the outstanding dressage stallion Rubinstein I, who sired many excellent dressage horses, studs and breeding mares who won national prizes.

Grandsire of mare Granella is stallion Grannus, an outstanding stud – sire of many world-class jumpers, ranged among the best jumpers on the world ranking list.

Weltstein has completed, with an excellent note, a 100-day test in Training School in Kwidzyn, where he showed a special talent for three basic gaits in the mounted session. His loose jumps were above average for the horses of the same year.

The first foals of 2003 and 2004 are very promising. Stallion D`Wist was Józefin foal champion in 2003. Mare Santana won Open Foal Championship of the Polish Association of Horse Breeders in Józefin 2004. Welstein has been awarded an honourable cup as a sire of the best foal of that championship.
