Opypy stud was founded by Remigiusz Makowski in 1993. It is located near Grodzisk Mazowiecki – 35 km from Warsaw, in Opypy. All the horses born in the stud spend their first 3 years of life on the beautiful Mazurian meadows of a village called Mikosze near Orzysz. The idea lying behind starting this stud was to breed horses with good conformation and great versatility. That is why the mares and stallions in our stud come from the finest world famous dressage and showjumping bloodlines.
Since 1993 Opypy stud has been running the WELT horse-riding club that has won numerous awards in horsejumping and dressage in regional, national and international competitions.
The horses bred in our stud have been graded many times with the highest notes in stallion training schools, in mare performance tests and foal championships.
